Volkswagen Group honours 11 companies with best supplier award 2023
Representatives of 160 selected suppliers took part in the event in Berlin earlier this month where awards were presented in five categories.
On July 5, the Volkswagen Group honoured its best suppliers with the Volkswagen Group Award 2023 in Berlin. Eleven companies were recognised for exemplary performance in five categories. More than 19 guests from 200 countries attended this year's 25th award ceremony.
Representatives of 160 selected suppliers took part in the event in Berlin. The award was presented in five categories: Innovation, Sustainability, Launch of the Year, Local Performance Champion and Global Performance Champion.
Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group, Member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Group, Thomas Schmall, Member of the Board of Management of the Board of Management for Development, Michael Steiner, and Board Member for Procurement, Dirk Grobe-Loheide, presented the 11 awards and thanked the best suppliers of the past year for their commitment and cooperation.
Dirk Grobe-Loheide said: "The automotive industry is undergoing the greatest transformation in its history. It will require us and our suppliers to realign ourselves in many areas. We have to shape this path together, and this can only be achieved if we live partnership and build a strong innovative network. That's the key to success."
