TVS Motor launches Neo NX step-through in Africa

TVS Motor today launched a new stylish step-through scooter Neo NX in Mali, Africa. The bebek (scooter) is being manufactured in Jakarta and offers fuel-efficient engine, strong suspension, disc brake along with front and rear carriers.
TVS Motor says the bebek is engineered for Africa and is equipped with features such as a USB mobile port.
Commenting on the launch, R Dilip, executive vice-president, International Business, TVS Motor Company said, “TVS Motor Company has been present in Mali for over a decade with a strong product portfolio spanning across motorcycles, bebeks and three-wheelers. With the launch of the TVS Neo NX, we are catering to a wide band of customers with a superior quality, robust, reliable bebek engineered for Africa by Jakarta. The stylish graphics coupled with superior performance and availability of affordable spares make TVS Neo NX a ‘Smart Choice’.”
The TVS Neo NX is powered by a 110cc motor, which produces 8.5bhp and 8.5 Nm of torque, mated to a semi-automatic 4-speed gearbox. It is also equipped with 150mm ground clearance, 17-inch wheel, a strong suspension and disc brake system. The two-wheeler weighs 101.5kg and also offers a front and rear carrier. The company says the Neo NX will be available across Mali, in over 30 touchpoints, across towns like Bamako, Kayes, Mopti, Segou, Sikasso, Koutiala and Kéniéba.
