Suzuki Indonesia rolls outs its 3 millionth unit

The three million cumulative production milestone has come after 46 years and nine months of Suzuki starting manufacturing operations in Indonesia.

Suzuki Indonesia rolls outs its 3 millionth unit

PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor (SIM), the subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation for automobile and motorcycle production in Indonesia, has achieved accumulated automobile production of three million units.

The three million cumulative production milestone has come after 46 years and nine months of Suzuki starting manufacturing operations in Indonesia. While the milestone day was December 6, 2022, PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor held a ceremony at the Cikarang Plant on January 16, 2023. The company currently produces four passenger vehicles – the Carry, APV, Ertiga and the XL7. The three-millionth vehicle was an Ertiga Hybrid model produced at the Cikarang plant.

Automobile production in SIM started in March 1976 at the Pulogadung plant. The Tambun plant opened in 1991, and the Cikarang Plant in 2015. In addition to automobiles, SIM also produces motorcycles at the Tambun Plant.
