The Norma Group, which is among the leading global providers for engineered joining technology, has begun production in Atibaia, Brazil.

The new plant manufactures quick connectors and fluid system for the automotive and commercial vehicle industries. From June, it will begin producing exhaust pipe couplings (Euro Coupler and Accuseal) and the V-band profile clamp for the South American market.

“The demand for high quality and technologically advanced joining solutions in this prospering region continues to grow,” said Werner Deggim, CEO of Norma Group. “Our new plant is an excellent base from which to access the South American markets. We are proud that we now operate production facilities in every region of the world, which enables us to even better meet the requirements of our clients globally and, from now on, also in South America.”

The higher-than-expected demand has led the Norma Group to plan a significant increase of production over the coming months. It will also step up its distribution business across the entire South American region.

The Group has been present in the Brazilian market since 2011 with a sales and engineering office in Santo André and since 2013 with the new production facility in Atibaia near São Paulo.
