Minebea Mitsumi Inc, which ranks globally among the best suppliers of Bosch, has bagged the Bosch Global Supplier Award 2023 in the ‘Raw Materials and Components’ category.
MinebeaMitsumi is the market leader with a market share of 60% and the world's largest manufacturer of miniature ball bearings. Ball bearings, the invisible heroes of everyday life, are used wherever parts are in motion and rotation. They can have an outer diameter of up to 32 millimetres. The smallest ball bearing has an outer diameter of 1.5 millimetres.
From its roughly 35,000 suppliers, Bosch singled out 46 suppliers from 11 countries for an award this year. This is the 18th time that the Bosch Group has rewarded outstanding performance by its suppliers in the manufacture and supply of raw materials, products, or services – notably as concerns quality, costs, sustainability, and innovation.
"Supplier networks that help companies compete and innovate are crucial for the resilience of these companies. At Bosch, our awardees play a special part in our efforts to achieve this”, said Dr. Arne Flemming, Head of Supply Chain Management at Bosch. “Our award winners impressed us with their outstanding performance in the manufacture and supply of raw materials, products, and services. Especially in terms of quality, cost, and sustainability, we see them as leading the way.”

The Bosch Global Supplier Award
Every two years, Bosch honours the pick of its suppliers from around the world with the Bosch Global Supplier Award. The supplier of technology and services rewards outstanding performance in the manufacture and supply of raw materials, products, and services. Based on a range of criteria, award-winners are selected in the categories ‘Purchasing of Indirect Materials and Services’ and ‘Raw Materials and Components’.
Bosch has been presenting these awards to honour supplier excellence since 1987, and they are highly regarded in the industry.
