Mahindra GenZe is to showcase its breakthrough, all-electric, two-wheel vehicle designed for urban commuters, the GenZe 2.0, at the 2015 EICMA show taking place in Milan Italy next week.  The show takes place from November 19-22.

The GenZe 2.0 will be available at the Peugeot Motorcycles booth in Hall #11, accessible through the south gate. Earlier this year, Mahindra GenZe announced a strategic agreement through the acquisition of majority ownership of Peugeot Motocycles.

The GenZe 2.0, designed and built in the United States, has a removable lithium-ion battery that can be recharged at any standard electrical outlet, giving riders optimal freedom and ease of use. Its smart, utilitarian design offers ample rear storage space so people can get where they want and take all of their belongings with them. It allows for device recharging in a compartment under the drivers’ seat.

The GenZe 2.0 is also completely connected and is equipped with the industry's first cloud-based scooter and mobile rider application designed to make getting around faster, easier, safer and much more fun. The GenZe Cruise–Connect System provides the ability to monitor data through a cloud–based system and the ability to govern settings through the mobile phone app.

“Increasing traffic congestion — along with energy, pollution, parking, maintenance and other hassles — are demanding new smart two-wheel solutions for urban commuters ” said Vish Palekar, CEO of GenZe. “GenZe is refining urban mobility by delivering a fun and practical commute experience. The GenZe 2.0 is a completely new approach to personal transportation, designed for a digitally connected generation that is on the go and wants the freedom of owning a vehicle that fits their lifestyle."

The GenZe 2.0 is a game-changing vehicle that is already making waves in the United States with consumers and municipalities and the company sees great potential in the European market. Mahindra GenZe says it is eager to begin testing and collecting feedback in the region to get a strong understanding of the unique issues and challenges that Europe commuters are facing.

GenZe was founded in 2012 with a goal to develop sustainable urban transportation solutions. The GenZe 2.0 was conceived in Silicon Valley, the heart of innovation worldwide, and was designed, engineered and is being manufactured in Ann Arbor, Michigan to the highest international and federal vehicle standards.
