Kia Mexico rolls out its two millionth unit
Two-million vehicles produced in less than 10 years after Kia Mexico began operations. The milestone vehicle is a 2025 Kia K4 compact sedan which is slated to go on sale later this year. Vehicles produced in Mexico exported to more than 190 countries
The Kia Mexico plant has celebrated a significant milestone on August 5 as the two millionth vehicle – a 2025 Snow White Pearl K4 – rolled off the assembly line at its modern facility, which began operations in May 2016.
“Producing two million vehicles in less than 10 years is a testament to Kia Mexico’s commitment to the brand,” said SeungKyu (Sean) Yoon, president and CEO, Kia North America, and Kia America. “Kia Mexico is a key factor in Kia’s success, serving as a manufacturing hub for several crucial markets and producing high quality vehicles like the Forte compact sedan, one of Kia America’s best-selling models in the first half of 2024.”
The K4 is the new moniker for Kia’s all-new, next-generation compact four-door sedan. It builds upon its predecessor with new standards for design, technology and roominess, with a powerhouse of standard, segment-above technology, refinement, and class-leading legroom. The K4, which will be available in five trim levels, will be exported to more than 190 countries.
