Indian automakers launch new products at SIAM's Indo-Bangla Expo in Dhaka

A clutch of Indian vehicle manufacturers -- two-wheeler, four-wheeler and commercial vehicle -- launched their products for the Bangladesh market at the second edition of the Indo-Bangla Automotive Show organized by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) in association with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA). The four-day show is on from February 28-March 4 in Dhaka.

While Hero MotoCorp unveiled its Passion X Pro commuter motorcycle and Maestro Edge scooter and launched the ‘iSmart plus’ motorcycle, Bajaj Auto showcased the face-lifted version of one of its bestselling motorcycles, the 160cc Pulsar.

In the four-wheeler segment, Suzuki launched the Ciaz and Ertiga Smart Hybrid vehicles.

In the commercial vehicle and special application vehicle segments, Mahindra & Mahindra launched ‘Motor Grader’ construction equipment vehicle, SML Isuzu launched ‘Samrat HS’ Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), Eicher Motors launched its Pro 6031 Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV) and Tata Motors launched the 1212 CRX Light Commercial Vehicle. Force Motors in association with BK Automobiles launched the Traveller Special Care Ambulance and the Shaktimaan 400 LCV.  

The event is supported by Ministry of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises, Government of India, High Commission of India in Dhaka, Bangladesh Automobile Assemblers & Manufacturers Association (BAAMA), Bangladesh Motorcycle Assemblers & Manufacturers Association (BMAMA) & India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI).
