Honda Taiwan has crossed the 300,000 unit cumulative automobile production milestone, 13 years after it began production.

Honda Taiwan has crossed the 300,000 unit cumulative automobile production milestone, 13 years after it began production.

The company held a celebratory function at its plant in Pingtung City, which was attended by Takato Ito chairman, Hiroyuki Mannen, president, along with Honda Taiwan associates. The landmark vehicle was a 300,000th vehicle, a CR-V, which is the best-selling SUV in Taiwan’s history.

Honda Taiwan, which currently has 660 workforce, began assembling cars in 2003 starting with the CR-V, and gradually expanded the production line-up to include the Accord, Civic, Fit, and City. The 300,000 unit cumulative production milestone came 13 years after production began and 4 years after it produced the 200,000th vehicle.

The company also markets motorcycles which include the NSS300, CBR500R, CB650F, CBR650F, NC750S, NC750X, INTEGRA, CTX700N, CB1100EX, CTX1300 and the Goldwing F6C.
