German company Grammer, which specialises in the development and manufacture of components and systems for car interiors, has released information about the centre console it has developed for the new Mercedes-Benz GLC.

As a bridge between the rear and the digitalised cockpit, the Grammer centre console’s highlights include features such as a butterfly lid as a high-quality storage compartment cover with a cover that matches the interior, a middle section with a generous storage compartment and USB socket, and a carrier for the infotainment screen in the interior design of the new Mercedes-Benz GLC.

"The design of the centre console impressively demonstrates how we combine the requirements of modern vehicle interiors," explains Jens Ohlenschläger, CEO of Grammer AG. "In addition to a strong design that fits perfectly into the room concept, a high level of functionality is required. Our many years of development experience have helped us to translate customer requirements into a component that can be produced in large volumes."

The centre console in the Mercedes-Benz model is not only an eye-catcher, but also offers plenty of storage space. One highlight is the display carrier, which gives the driver and front passenger the best possible access to the infotainment system. Grammer states that its experienced engineers have developed a stable solution that is both lightweight and efficient.
