Continental to discontinue tyre production at Malaysian plant

Following a business review to safeguard its competitiveness and business performance in the APAC region, where Malaysia remains a key market, Continental will stop manufacturing tyres at its Alor Setar plant by the end of this year.

Continental is to discontinue tyre manufacturing operations at its Alor Setar, Malaysia, plant by the end of 2025. The facility produces passenger car and light truck tyres for the Asia Pacific (APAC) market, as well as motorcycle tyres.
