Chevrolet has announced today that the all-new Onix compact sedan will soon make its global debut in China, the brand’s second-largest market. The company released a teaser image to go with the announcement.

An Onix Redline variant will be the sixth Chevrolet nameplate in China that includes a Redline variant, joining the Equinox, Cruze, Orlando, all-new Malibu XL and Monza.

According to Chevrolet, the Onix will offer customers an expressive exterior design while optimising interior space and comfort. Its advanced technologies will provide enhanced connectivity and efficient performance not expected in the compact segment.

“The Onix continues the momentum across Chevrolet’s vehicle lineup that targets the ever changing and diverse needs of our China customers,” said Scott Lawson, general director of Chevrolet for SAIC-GM. “It will attract those who demand overall performance and value.”
