BMW iNEXT concept unveiled in Munich

Harald Kruger, chairman of the board of management of BMW AG unveiled an initial design concept for the BMW iNEXT. The company claims that the new flagship would incorporate all major strategic areas of innovation in a road-ready vehicle.

The new vehicle is slotted to derive its inspiration directly from the recent Vision NEXT concepts. Industry analysts are keenly awaiting for more specifications to determine whether it would be pitted directly against Tesla Model 3.

At the annual general meeting in Munich, Harald said, “The iNEXT project is our building kit for the future. For the first time, we are combining all key technologies for future mobility in one vehicle. The iNEXT is fully electric, fully connected and also offers highly automated driving. Later this year, we will be presenting the BMW iNEXT as a Vision Vehicle.”

Pieter Nota, a member of the board of management of BMW AG, recently revealed that the BMW group currently has sold over a quarter of a million electrified vehicles across the world.
