Launches Conductex i and Conductex e range of products for lithium ion and lead acid battery applications in Europe

India’s Birla Carbon, a global leader in manufacturing high quality carbon black solutions, will participate at The Battery Show Europe 2021, to be held from November 30-December 2, 2021 at Messe Stuttgart, Germany. Birla Carbon will exhibit at Booth 8-654.

Following its recent entry into the energy Systems market, Birla Carbon will present a portfolio of conductive carbon solutions with its Conductex i and Conductex e series of products at the show, along with the forthcoming array of carbon-based solutions for the battery industry. Birla Carbon’s participation is aimed at expanding its geographic presence in Europe and globally while addressing customer needs.

According to the company, the Conductex i series and NTeC-B performance conductive additives for Li-ion batteries can provide higher battery manufacturing throughput along with superior high discharge rate performance, extended cycle life, exceptional high voltage retention for power batteries and fast charge performance for EVs. Birla Carbon is also developing a portfolio of performance anode active materials to include a complete offering of market-ready natural and synthetic graphite.

The Conductex e line are key performance-enhancing carbon black additives that provide high conductivity and purity while enabling manufacturers the formulation flexibility needed for a variety of applications in lead-acid batteries, including automotive, telecom, motive power, energy storage systems, and e-bikes.

Birla Carbon’s new portfolio of conductive carbons is designed for the lithium ion and lead acid battery markets enabling customisation in formulation and performance in a variety of segments, including automotive, telecoms, motive power, energy storage systems, and e-bikes. These products leverage Birla Carbon’s unique Ultra process to ensure the highest levels of purity and conductivity, enabling increased charge acceptance, particularly under partial state-of-charge operation.
