Benteler completes expansion project for BMW Brilliance Auto in China
Shenyang plant size almost doubled to 19.000 square metres; two-shift operation delivers 1,000 front and rear axles every day.
Benteler, which has since mid-2019 been producing front and rear axles for BMW Brilliance Automotive (BBA) in its expanded plant in Shenyang, has completed expansion at the facility.
The construction time for the plant extension was about one-and-a-half years, giving the plant an additional 8,900 square metres of space and now equipped with leading assembly processes. The entire plant area in Shenyang has almost doubled and now totals around 19.000 square metres. A total of 200 staffers work in two shifts in order to deliver about 1.000 parts to BMW Brilliance Auto as per schedule every day.
Yanjun Zhu, Plant Manager Benteler Automotive Shenyang, said: "The start of production for the BMW G2X project started successfully. This excellent teamwork makes it possible to supply our customer in the best possible way."
