Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) has officially launched BAC Mexico – a new dealership in Mexico City to continue its phenomenal global expansion.

The new franchise operates out of the capital, Mexico City, and gives BAC an even bigger presence in North America. The Liverpool-based company already has dealer agreements across the USA and in Canada.

BAC Mexico will bring the world’s only road-legal, single-seater supercar – Mono – to an expanding and thriving customer base.

BAC founders Neill and Ian Briggs attended the launch of BAC Mexico on a special night in Mexico City, where over 220 VIP guests got up close and personal with Mono.

Mono has won awards, broken records and has been exported to over 30 territories worldwide. BAC Mexico will distribute the 2018 Model Year Mono.

BAC Mono is the first car in the world to incorporate Graphene body parts

Neill Briggs, Co-founder and director of product development, said, “It’s with great pleasure that we can declare BAC Mexico officially open for business – continuing our amazing expansion around the world. Mono has been a fantastic success in North America and we can’t wait to welcome new friends to the BAC Family.”

Since its launch in 2011, it is now being sold in several markets around the world. It launched in Hong Kong at the end of 2015, with eight cars being sold in a single night. BAC dealers can also be found in North America, Japan and London.

The 2016 model year version of the Mono comes with a four-cylinder 305bhp 2.5-litre Mountune engine, which takes the 580kg car from 0-60mph (0-100kmph) in just 2.8sec.

BAC recently launched a carbon hybrid wheel and announced the use of super material graphene, which is up to 20 per cent lighter than carbon fibre and as much as 200 times stronger than steel.

Despite its global appeal, BAC Mono remains proudly British, with parts sourced from its home country wherever possible.
