Autoliv Inc, the global leader in automotive safety systems, has been honored with Toyota's Global Contribution award. This is the automaker’s highest award for suppliers and is given in recognition of companies with outstanding performance during the past year.

This is the fourth time Autoliv has received the prestigious Global Contribution Award from Toyota. Continuous improvement activities and strong collaboration with the Japanese carmaker on a global level in areas such as quality, cost optimisation, communication and engineering support are the main reasons for Autoliv being named as a top supplier by Toyota.

Additionally, Autoliv was also selected as a winner of the Superior Value Improvement Award. The awards were presented as a part of Toyota's annual Global Supplier Conference 2015, which took place in Nagoya, Japan. Jan Carlson, chairman, president and CEO of Autoliv, accepted the awards from Mr Uchiyamada, chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, on behalf of the Autoliv Group.
“We are honored and delighted to have once again been recognised by Toyota, one of the most quality-minded vehicle manufacturers in the world,” said Autoliv's CEO Jan Carlson at the award winning ceremony in Nagoya. He added, “We see these awards as a recognition for the dedication our associates have shown and our continuous strive towards saving more lives through innovations and high quality products.”
Autoliv supplies Toyota in all regions with airbags, seatbelts and steering wheels. And the company’s tech centres in Japan, North America, Europe and China support Toyota with design engineering expertise in automotive safety and with crash testing capabilities.
