TVS Motor reports 25% YoY growth in April sales

The automaker dispatched a total of 383,615 vehicles, including two and three-wheelers, in April, against 306,224 vehicles in the year-ago period.

TVS Motor reports 25% YoY growth in April sales

TVS Motor Co posted a healthy growth of 25 percent on year in its total sales volume during April on the back of a robust uptick in the demand for two-wheelers, both in domestic and export markets.

The automaker dispatched a total of 383,615 vehicles, including two and three-wheelers, in April, against 306,224 vehicles in the year-ago period.

Total two-wheeler sales during the month rose 27 percent on year to 374,592 units. Domestic sales grew 29 percent to 301,449 units, exports increased 18 percent to 73,143 units.

Motorcycle sales were 24 percent higher at 188,110 units and scooter sales were up 34 percent to 144,126 units. The company sold 17,403 electric vehicles in April, compared with 6,227 units sold in the comparable period.

However, TVS Motor’s total three-wheeler wholesales declined 21 percent on year to 9,023 units in April.

The company exported a total of 80,508 units, including two and three-wheelers in April, up 12 percent on year.

In March, TVS sold a total of 354,592 vehicles.
