TVS Motor Posts 29% YoY Growth in Total January Sales
Two-wheeler sales rose 28% during the month, while three-wheeler volumes surged 77% on a year-on-year basis.
TVS Motor Company on Sunday reported a 29% year-on-year growth in its total dispatches for January 2026, aided by strong demand across two-wheeler and three-wheeler segments, including electric vehicles.
TVS Motor Company said its overall sales stood at 5,11,766 units in January 2026, compared with 3,97,623 units in the same month last year. Two-wheeler sales rose 28% during the month, while three-wheeler volumes surged 77% on a year-on-year basis.
Total two-wheeler sales increased to 4,94,195 units in January 2026 from 3,87,671 units a year earlier. Domestic two-wheeler dispatches registered a 30% growth, rising to 3,83,262 units from 2,93,860 units in January 2025, reflecting sustained momentum in the home market.
Within the two-wheeler portfolio, motorcycle sales grew 26% year-on-year to 2,19,188 units in January 2026, compared with 1,74,388 units in the year-ago period. Scooter sales posted a sharper 30% growth, increasing to 2,22,926 units from 1,71,111 units.
Electric vehicle sales continued to scale up, with volumes rising 50% year-on-year to 37,756 units in January 2026, against 25,195 units sold in the same month last year, underscoring the company’s expanding presence in the EV segment. TVS is the market leader in the electric two-wheeler segment.
The company’s international business also recorded healthy growth during the month. Total exports rose 21% to 1,22,343 units in January 2026, compared with 1,01,055 units a year earlier. Two-wheeler exports increased 18% to 1,10,933 units from 93,811 units.
Three-wheeler sales stood at 17,571 units in January 2026, up sharply from 9,952 units in January 2025, marking a 77% year-on-year increase.
