Royal Enfield posts 6% YoY growth in February wholesales
The automaker dispatched a total of 75,935 two-wheelers during the month, against 71,544 units in the same month the previous year.
Royal Enfield recorded 6 percent on-year growth in its February sales as the two-wheeler maker continues to witness an uptick in rural and international markets.
The automaker dispatched a total of 75,935 two-wheelers during the month, against 71,544 units in the same month the previous year. About 90 percent of the Royal Enfield sales come from models with engine capacity of up to 350 cc.
Sales of models with engine capacity engine capacity up to 350cc rose 2 percent to 66,157 in the month, while sales of models with engine capacity exceeding 350 cc grew 45 percent to 9,778 units. International business also recorded a growth of 13 percent in sales to 8,013 units.
Royal Enfield’s portfolio includes ten models – Bullet 350, Classic 350, Hunter 350, Meteor 350, the 411cc-engine powered Scram 411 and Himalayan adventure bikes, the 650cc twins (Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650), the Super Meteor 650 and Shotgun 650.
Meanwhile, Royal Enfield recorded a 10 percent on-year growth in its total dispatches from April to February to 837,181 units. This growth came on the back of domestic sales as international business sales declined 22 percent to 68,430 units.
