Demand for CNG cars and SUVs jumps 36% to 278,000 units in April-August

While Maruti Suzuki, with its large line-up of CNG models and sale of 201,123 units, has a vice-like grip with a 72% market share, Tata Motors, with 42,984 units and 131% YoY growth, has increased its CNG market share by 6% to 15 percent. Hyundai is looking to up the ante with new variants even as Toyota nearly doubles its sales to 5,765 units.
