Tata Motors’ total wholesales declined by 4% in July 2023 (YoY)

Mumbai-based Tata Motors’ domestic commercial vehicle wholesales dipped by 4% to 32,944 units in July 2023 as compared to a similar period last year, when it registered 34,154 units, with almost all the segments except for heavy commercial vehicles (HCV) and passenger carriers witnessing a fall. 

As per the data released by the company, HCV registered 14% growth, with 8502 units sold during July 2023 as against 7473 units sold in the month of July 2022. Intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) trucks, on the other hand, reported 4899 sales—a decline of 11% as against 5524 units in July 2022.

Passenger carriers recorded 4292 unit sales in July 2023 as against 3454 units in July 2022, which is a gain of 24%. The small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup registered a drop of 10% to 13523 units when compared with 15022 units in July 2022.
