Sona Comstar achieves 5 million production milestone for differential assemblies

Auto component firm Sona BLW Precision Forgings (Sona Comstar) has achieved the cumulative production milestone of 5 million differential assemblies.

The company is the leading global supplier of driveline solutions for Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, and off-highway vehicles and one of the world's largest manufacturers of differential assemblies for BEVs.

The company initiated the manufacturing of differential assemblies at its Gurgaon plant in 2008. It later expanded production to its Pune plant in 2014 and started production at its advanced facility in Manesar in 2019. In 2017, it surpassed the production milestone of 1 million differential assemblies and achieved the 2 million mark in 2020. Subsequently, Sona Comstar achieved the production milestone of 5 million differential assemblies in less than three years.

Sona Comstar designs and manufactures differential assemblies and other driveline parts for electric vehicles across various segments, such as passenger, commercial, and off-highway vehicles.

Speaking on this achievement, V.
