Sirius Cleantech unveils made-in-India EV conversion kit for ICE vehicles
Sirius Cleantech Pvt. Ltd., which converts old ICE vehicles into electric vehicles, launched an affordable four-wheeler retro-fitment kit 'Electra-Revive' on Tuesday, which it claims has been built ground up using only indigenous components.
In a statement, the company said that Electra-Revive sports a range of motor options, starting with 30kW up to 75kW mated to a high voltage battery pack, driven by an IP67-rated drive and vehicle control unit. This unit has been co-developed by Sirius Cleantech in association with leading Indian OEMs, as it added before continuing that it works with the vehicle's existing manual transmission. Once converted, the kit delivers an actual range of 160km with a 1200kg payload while achieving a top speed in excess of 75 kmph for the commercial vehicle application and an actual range of 180 km for the passenger vehicle conversion while achieving the same top speed as before the conversion.
Furthermore, its customised batteries of up to 60kW with a range of approximately 600km are available at an extra cost for the LMV+ Kits. The kits are equipped with AI powered enhanced range prediction with driver pattern analysis, an active power management system with an active Kalman filter for accurate power control, CAN architecture for accurate data communication and fault reporting for better service and diagnostics, proprietary mobile app connectivity that reports live on 35+ vehicle parameters, and a Bharat EV-compliant charging station.
Mayur Parekh, Head Strategy and Finance, Sirius Cleantech Pvt Ltd., said, “This launch is a testament to the determination and dedication of our team, who in a short span was able to put together a solution that will democratize electric mobility, making it more accessible to all, while catalysing positive environmental change across the nation.".
All components to retro-fit ICE vehicles, including motors and battery packs with drive trains, are available for light commercial vehicles such as Tata Ace, Tata Ace Mega, Gold, Zip, and Ashok Leyland Dost and Dost Lite, as well as for light passenger cars such as Maruti Suzuki Alto, Spresso, WagonR, Swift Dzire, Swift, Hyundai Xcent, Datsun Go, and Toyota Etios Liva, the company statement continued.
