Plastic Omnium expands presence in India with new plant and R&D center in Pune
The Technical Centre houses cutting-edge technology for engineers and researchers.
Plastic Omnium, a global leader in automotive components and solutions, celebrated the groundbreaking of its fifth manufacturing plant and the inauguration of a new Technical Centre in Pune. The new manufacturing facility, covering 10 acres and spread over 20,000 sq. meters in Phase I, is equipped with state-of-the-art production technology to meet the rising demand for innovative automotive solutions.
The Technical Centre houses cutting-edge technology for engineers and researchers to collaborate on projects focused on sustainability and environmentally friendly solutions for the automotive industry, the company shared.
Gyanendra Sharma, Managing Director of Plastic Omnium Auto Exterior India, speaking on the announcement said "Today's groundbreaking ceremony and the inauguration of our Technical Centre mark a significant chapter in Plastic Omnium's journey. Our continued investment in Pune underscores our confidence in the region's potential and our commitment to providing top-notch solutions to our customers. The new manufacturing plant and Technical Centre align with our vision for sustainable and forward-thinking developments in the automotive industry."
