MegaCabs launches first fleet of EVs in Delhi
MegaCabs currently operates in Delhi, Bengaluru and Goa, and aims to expend its services to five major airports by 2024.
MegaCabs, an airport taxi operator, has launched its first fleet of electric vehicles in Delhi on Thursday. The company will deploy 100 EVs in the first phase which will gradually be enhanced to 300 by the end of FY24.
Tarun Arora, CCO-Non-Aero, Delhi International Airport said Delhi airport is on a mission to be a net zero carbon emission facility by 2030 and the launch of MegaCabs EV fleet is a significant step in that direction."
"DIAL has already electrified much of its transportation services and is on schedule to transition to zero-emission vehicles in and around the airport in the next 5-6 years. We have been in conversation with all stakeholders to achieve carbon neutrality at India’s largest airport."
