Kia India has unveiled the updated Seltos SUV which now gets more potent powertrains, and added features to beat the competition's heat. The Korean carmaker is bullish about maintaining its market share with the refreshed SUV, and is gearing with capacity ramp up.
Kia India, which recently unveiled the updated Seltos SUV, is bullish about maintaining strong volume performance with the refreshed avatar of the most-important model in its four-model Indian line-up. The company has introduced the 2023 Seltos with more potent powertrains like the 160hp, 1.5-litre, turbo-petrol mill, and also equipped the model with modern features like a panoramic sunroof.
Tae-Jin Park, MD and CEO, Kia India talks about expanding its Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) plant capacity from 3 lakh to 3.5 lakh this year, in anticipation of higher volumes for the Seltos. Park also revealed Kia's EV plans, with a new MPV with ICE and EV options being lined up for 2025.
Kia India which presently sells the flagship EV6 coupe as a CBU, is considering local assembly of the vehicle, and also plans to bring an India-specific sub-four-metre e-SUV.
