Hero MotoCorp expands operations in Nepal with new assembly facility

Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, in collaboration with its authorised distributor CG Motors, has announced its business expansion plans in Nepal. The company has inaugurated a new state-of-the-art assembly facility located in CG Industrial Park in Nawalparasi, where four Hero MotoCorp products – Xpulse 200 4V, Super Splendor, Splendor+ motorcycles, and Xoom 110 scooter – will be assembled locally.

The assembly facility, with a capacity of 75,000 units per annum, signifies new investments and job creation opportunities in the region. CG Motors is set to rapidly expand the sales and service network across Nepal to meet the increasing demand from customers.

Sanjay Bhan, Chief Business Officer of Hero MotoCorp's Global Business Unit, speaking on the announcement shared “With innovation and technology at its core, Hero MotoCorp is committed to providing world-class products and experiences to its customers across the globe. The state-of-the-art assembly unit will ensure that our world-class products will now be made in Nepal and available to customers across the country. Our renewed focus in Nepal, along with our partners CG Motors, is reflective of our commitment to the country, which continues to be a very important market for us.”

The strategic location of the new facility ensures swift availability of products across Nepal, supported by the rapid expansion of the sales and service network. CG Motors plans to establish over 100 sales and service outlets within the next three months, with a flagship showroom already opened in Kathmandu.
