Ashok Leyland's wholesales jumped by 11% in July (YoY)
Medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) trucks increased by 16% to 8037 units in July 2023, up from 6943 units in July 2022.
Ashok Leyland, India's third-largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, recorded an 11% increase in monthly wholesales, including exports, to 15,068 units in July 2023, up from 13,625 during the comparable period last year.
Medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) trucks increased by 16% to 8037 units in July 2023, up from 6943 units in July 2022. M&HCV buses, on the other hand, increased by 27% to 1534 units in July 2023, up from 1205 units in the same time the previous year. The light commercial vehicle (LCV) market remained steady in July 2023, with 5497 units sold compared to 5477 units in July 2022.
Ashok Leyland has seen its market share rise from 22.5% to 32% in the last few quarters, and the company now wants to keep these gains going and get to 35% in the next year.
