Zypp Electric Expands EV Fleet in Jaipur and Hyderabad

Zypp Electric has deployed 1,000 electric vehicles across Jaipur and Hyderabad within a month of launching operations in both cities, the company announced today. The expansion represents a significant milestone in the EV rental platform's growth strategy as it extends its presence beyond major metropolitan areas.

The deployment includes the establishment of two operational hubs, each spanning over 5,000 square feet, in Jaipur and Hyderabad. These facilities provide vehicle maintenance, battery swapping infrastructure, and partner onboarding services to support the company's delivery operations.

Jaipur marks Zypp Electric's first entry into a tier-2 city, while Hyderabad represents another strategic market for the platform's last-mile delivery services. The company serves delivery partners working across e-commerce, food delivery, and quick commerce sectors in both locations.

According to the company, delivery partners using Zypp Electric's platform earn between ₹25,000 and ₹35,000 monthly while saving over ₹5,000 per month compared to operating traditional internal combustion engine vehicles. The savings are attributed to lower fuel and maintenance costs associated with electric vehicles.

"Reaching 1,000 EVs in both Jaipur and Hyderabad within a month validates our claim that electric last-mile delivery and mobility is not just environmentally necessary but economically compelling in many more cities of India now," said Akash Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of Zypp Electric.

The company operates over 22,000 electric vehicles nationwide as of late 2025 and maintains more than 1,500 battery swap points across its network. Zypp Electric reported ₹455 crore in revenue for FY25, representing a 50% year-over-year increase, and has completed over 100 million deliveries to date.

Looking ahead, Zypp Electric plans to expand Hyderabad's fleet to 10,000 electric vehicles and Jaipur's fleet to 5,000 vehicles in the upcoming financial year. The company has set a long-term target of operating over 100,000 vehicles across 25 cities by 2030.

The expansion comes as India's gig economy continues to grow and businesses increasingly seek sustainable logistics solutions. Battery-swapping infrastructure is positioned as a key enabler for addressing range anxiety and minimizing downtime for delivery operations.

Zypp Electric's operations have reportedly prevented 58 million kilograms of carbon emissions through its delivery services. The company also operates a fleet of over 900 electric three-wheelers as part of its broader vehicle portfolio.
