HCL Technologies Limited has secured a multi-year strategic engineering partnership with e.solutions, a Germany-based automotive software specialist under the Volkswagen Group, to develop software-defined infotainment and vehicle connectivity systems. The corporate mandate centers on expanding artificial intelligence-enabled hardware and software frameworks built on the Android Automotive operating system.

Under the terms of the engagement, HCLTech will provide engineering support for the development, system integration, and rigorous validation of production-grade human-machine interface software. The software architecture is intended for deployment across multiple distinct vehicle programs, securing operational consistency across varied component hardware platforms and diverse international automotive markets. The financial details and specific duration of the multi-year contract were not disclosed in the regulatory filing.
