Uno Minda Completes Acquisition of e-Drives Business Assets from Friwo Vietnam Company

Uno Minda Limited has officially completed the acquisition of e-Drives business assets in Vietnam from Friwo Vietnam Company Limited. The transaction, carried out through its wholly owned step-down subsidiary, Minda Industries Vietnam Company Limited, marks a key strategic milestone for the company.
This acquisition aligns with Uno Minda’s ongoing strategy to expand its presence in the fast-growing electric mobility components space and strengthen its capabilities in international markets, particularly Southeast Asia.
Uno Minda, formerly known as Minda Industries Limited, is a Tier-1 supplier of automotive components and systems, catering to major OEMs across internal combustion and electric vehicle platforms. With over 75 manufacturing facilities and 37 R&D centers globally, the company continues to reinforce its commitment to innovation, localization, and future mobility solutions.
It has established multiple joint ventures to strengthen its product capabilities. One such partnership is with Japan’s Onkyo Corporation for infotainment and automotive audio systems. Other collaborations with international technology providers support its product development and manufacturing processes.
The company's aftermarket division provides parts and services across over 600 districts and 7,000+ pin codes in India, offering more than 25 product categories, according to the company.
