Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 secures Global Certification, prepares for European launch

Ultraviolette's F77 MACH 2 has become the first Indian electric motorcycle to receive certification under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) regulations. The company is preparing for its launch in Europe, with an introductory price of €9,990.

Ultraviolette is set to participate in EICMA, a major industry event in Milan, Italy, from November 5th to 10th. The F77 MACH 2 is approved for road use by A1 and A2 license holders in Europe and other global markets. Initial shipments to Germany and Turkey have already commenced, with further expansion across Europe expected.

Bangalore-based Ultraviolette recently received the UNECE L3e certification, allowing the F77 MACH 2 to be approved for road use in 40 countries, including within the European Union. This certification reflects the company’s focus on quality, safety, and performance standards.

Following its entry into Germany and Turkey, Ultraviolette plans to expand to other European countries after the EICMA showcase in 2024.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-Founder of Ultraviolette, highlighted the significance of the certification, stating that it marks a step forward for the company in reaching a larger global audience. He emphasized that the certification demonstrates the company's focus on achieving high standards in performance and design.

Niraj Rajmohan, CTO and Co-Founder, added that the certification aligns with Ultraviolette’s goal of developing competitive motorcycle platforms with advanced technology. He also mentioned that the F77 MACH 2 is designed and engineered in India for global markets.

The export of the F77 MACH 2 to Europe was recently marked by a flag-off ceremony attended by government officials, including Hon’ble Shri H.D. Kumaraswamy, Union Minister of Heavy Industries, and Hon’ble Shri M.B. Patil, Minister of Industries and Commerce, Karnataka.

Ultraviolette’s EICMA exhibit will be held at Pavilion 15, Stand M02.
