Toyota Kirloskar Motor organised two events at its Bidadi facility, engaging over 700 women employees. The sessions focused on work-life balance, career growth, and inclusivity, with insights from senior leaders and cultural performances.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) recently concluded its International Women’s Day 2025 celebrations with two events focused on inclusivity and increasing women's representation in the automotive industry. Held at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bidadi on March 12 and March 16, the events saw participation from over 700 women employees.
On March 12, a session on work-life balance brought together more than 250 women employees from different shifts, along with senior company leaders. The discussions featured insights from senior women leaders, who shared their experiences on balancing professional and personal responsibilities. The session also included interactive activities to encourage engagement and collaboration among participants.
The event on March 16 was attended by over 450 women employees and featured Smt. R. Latha (IAS), Secretary, Karnataka State Commission for Women & Director, Directorate of Child Protection, as the chief guest. She shared her journey from a banking career to public service, emphasizing the importance of confidence and career ambition. Addressing the gathering, she commended Toyota Kirloskar Motor for its efforts in fostering an inclusive work culture.
Cultural performances, including singing, dancing, and Yakshagana—a traditional theatre form from Karnataka—were also part of the celebrations, reflecting TKM’s commitment to diversity and workplace engagement.
The company is also developing its P3 manufacturing plant, which will include facilities designed to accommodate a higher percentage of women employees. Through these initiatives, Toyota Kirloskar Motor continues to focus on building a more inclusive work environment in the automotive sector.
