Tecell Launches Charge Sphere Platform for Cross-Border EV Charging
Bangalore-based company introduces interoperable charging network to connect operators, service providers, and drivers across India and international markets, according to World Watchers Live.
Tecell announced the launch of Charge Sphere, an interoperable electric vehicle charging platform, on November 27, 2025, according to World Watchers Live. The platform connects charge point operators, mobility service providers, site owners, and EV drivers through a digital network.
The company stated the platform uses open protocols including OCPI and OCPP to enable integration between different charging networks. Charge Sphere allows EV drivers to access charging stations across multiple networks through a single application, according to the announcement.
The platform provides EV roaming capabilities that enable drivers to locate, access, and pay for charging at stations operated by different providers. It supports bilateral contracts between mobility operators, charge point operators, and site owners for pricing and partnership arrangements.
Tecell stated the platform complies with Indian Power Ministry guidelines for EV charging interoperability and pricing transparency. The system includes API integration for connecting grid-connected charging hardware from different manufacturers.
India's EV charging infrastructure has expanded in recent years as electric vehicle adoption increases. Multiple charging networks currently operate across the country, with different operators managing separate station networks.
Tecell was established in 2021 and provides EV charging infrastructure and software solutions. The company offers AC and DC fast charging station installation, charging management software, and network management services for property developers, municipalities, and mobility operators.
The Bangalore-based company operates in both hardware deployment and software services. Its offerings include charging stations for two-wheelers, cars, and commercial vehicles, along with charging management systems available through various licensing models.
Interoperability platforms aim to address fragmentation in charging networks by enabling cross-network access. Similar platforms operate in international markets, including Gireve in Europe and Hubject globally.
Tecell is headquartered in Bangalore and provides charging solutions for residential, commercial, and public locations across India.
