Tata Motors' domestic CV wholesales drop 2% YoY

Heavy Commercial Vehicles registered a 1% increase, with 8,990 units  sold during January 2025.

Tata Motors' domestic CV wholesales drop 2% YoY

Mumbai-based Tata Motors' domestic commercial vehicle wholesales dropped by 2% to 30,083 units during January 2025, as compared to a similar period last year, when 30,643 units were registered. 

As per the data released by the company, HCV (Heavy Commercial Vehicles) registered a 1% increase, with 8,990 units  sold during January 2025, as against 8,906 units sold during the month of January  2024. Intermediate, light, and medium commercial vehicle (ILMCV) trucks, on the other hand, reported 5,298 unit sales in January  2025—which is almost a 12% increase with 4,743 units in January 2024. 

 Passenger carriers recorded 4582 unit sales in January 2025 as against 3872   units in January 2024, which is a gain of 18%.  

The small commercial vehicle (SCV) cargo and pickup segment registered a  drop  of 15 % to 11,213  units in January 2025  when compared with 13122  units in January  2024. 

Domestic sales of MH& ICV in January 2025, including trucks and buses, stood at 15137 units, compared to 14,440 units in January 2024.
