Swiggy Joins Deliver-E Coalition to Advance Zero-Emission Deliveries
Swiggy has committed to transitioning its entire delivery fleet to electric vehicles by 2030 as it joins the UN Environment Programme-hosted Deliver-E Coalition, a global alliance dedicated to accelerating the adoption of zero-emission food and grocery delivery services.
Swiggy, India's leading on-demand convenience platform, announced on October 16, 2025, that it has joined the Deliver-E Coalition, a global industry alliance committed to advancing zero-emission food and grocery deliveries worldwide. The coalition, hosted by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), aims to fast-track the adoption of electric two- and three-wheeler vehicles across delivery platforms globally.
The coalition's founding charter unites members to accelerate the implementation of zero-emission deliveries through a shift to electric vehicles, bicycles, and other sustainable two- and three-wheeler options. The alliance will focus on knowledge exchange, sharing best practices, tracking electrification progress, and addressing common barriers to widespread adoption.
By joining the coalition, Swiggy reinforces its sustainability vision and has set a target to achieve a 100% electric vehicle delivery fleet by 2030. The company has already made significant progress toward this goal, expanding its electric vehicle enabler partner network by more than twofold over the past year. Swiggy has onboarded over 50 collaborators spanning original equipment manufacturers, fleet operators, charging infrastructure providers, and financial service providers.
In the past 12 months, Swiggy has scaled its EV delivery fleet sevenfold, resulting in the reduction of more than 4,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions through electric vehicle-enabled deliveries. The company has expanded its EV ecosystem across major Indian cities, offering delivery partners access to over 70 electric vehicle models.
Swiggy has established flexible rental plans, ownership options, and fleet access through partnerships with companies including Yulu, Zypp, Baaz, Bike Bazaar, Hero, TVS, Kinetic, and RidEV. Recently, the platform announced a collaboration with Bounce to enhance access to electric mobility solutions for its delivery partners.
Neha Singhvi, Vice President of Public Affairs, Communications and ESG at Swiggy, stated that the company views electric vehicle adoption as a fundamental transformation of last-mile logistics in India. The coalition participation provides a platform to accelerate efforts in building a sustainable delivery ecosystem while supporting delivery partners through the transition to electric vehicles.
