Stellantis Expands Tamil Nadu Presence With Three New Dealerships

Stellantis India has strengthened its retail footprint in Tamil Nadu with the opening of three new dealerships in Madurai, Trichy, and Tirunelveli. The facilities, inaugurated on February 14, 2025, represent a significant expansion of the company's presence in the state where its manufacturing operations are based.

The new outlets include 'Araspvpv Motori Private Limited' in Madurai, 'Jayaraj Karz' in Trichy, and 'H & H Motocorp LLP' in Tirunelveli. The Trichy facility operates as a complete 3S center offering sales, service, and spare parts, while the Madurai location provides 1S+2S services. The Tirunelveli dealership, specifically branded as Citroën, will offer the complete lineup including the C5, C3, eC3, C3 Aircross, and Basalt models.

Shishir Mishra, Brand Director of Citroën India, emphasized Tamil Nadu's strategic importance to the company's operations during the inauguration. The expansion brings Citroën's total presence in Tamil Nadu to 10 points of sale.

These new facilities incorporate Stellantis' phygital retail strategy, combining digital tools with physical showroom experiences. Features include interactive digital interfaces, 3D configurators, and the ATAWADAC (Anytime, Anywhere, Any Device, Any Content) reception system.

The expansion comes as part of Stellantis' broader growth in India, where Citroën now operates 88 La Maison Citroën Phygital showrooms nationwide. The company's Jeep brand maintains over 80 retail locations across the country.

This development follows Stellantis' established presence in Tamil Nadu, where the company has maintained manufacturing operations. The automotive group, formed by the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the PSA Group in 2021, has been expanding its footprint in India's competitive automotive market.

The Indian automotive retail sector has been evolving toward digitally integrated showrooms, responding to changing consumer preferences and the need for enhanced customer experiences. This expansion aligns with the industry trend of establishing comprehensive sales and service networks in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
