Skoda India Reports Strong January Performance, Unveils 2026 Strategy

Skoda Auto India has reported robust sales performance for January 2026, selling 5,739 vehicles and recording a year-on-year growth of 39 percent. The company's Brand Director, Ashish Gupta, described the month as setting the tone for what the automaker expects to be a landmark year.

The Skoda Slavia emerged as the top-selling executive sedan in January, with the company attributing its success to strong design, safety features, and value proposition. The performance underscores Skoda's focus on three core pillars: relevance, differentiation, and trust.

In a significant customer service initiative, Skoda India announced the launch of Skoda Super Care, a new service programme designed to provide transparent and predictable costs for vehicle owners. The programme was accompanied by an integrated marketing campaign titled "You Never Drive Alone," emphasising the company's commitment to customer support throughout the ownership journey.

The company's product lineup continues to receive industry recognition. The Skoda Kylaq garnered accolades from TV9, while the Octavia RS was named premium sedan of the year. Additionally, the Kodiaq and Octavia RS secured two awards at the Autocar India awards ceremony.

At the Skoda Experience 2026 event, the automaker unveiled its product offensive for the year, headlined by the new Kushaq model and announcing 10 planned product actions. The announcement signals the company's aggressive expansion strategy in the Indian market.

Gupta credited the achievements to Skoda India's team and dealer network, highlighting collaborative execution as key to strengthening the brand's presence in India. The company has positioned 2026 as potentially its biggest year yet in the Indian automotive market.
