Oben Electric, an electric motorcycle manufacturer, has completed its Series A funding round with a total raise of ₹100 crore. The company secured ₹50 crore in January 2025 and raised an additional ₹50 crore in May 2025 through an extended Series A round, bringing its total funding to ₹200 crore.

The extended funding round included participation from Helios Holdings, Sharda family office, Kay family, and other existing investors. The company plans to use the funds to expand its retail presence to over 150 showrooms across 50 cities by FY26, develop its new O100 platform for motorcycles priced under ₹1 lakh, and scale manufacturing operations at its Bengaluru facility.

Since the initial Series A raise, Oben Electric has established 37 retail outlets across 26 cities in 13 states, entering markets including Punjab, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, stated that the funding represents investor confidence in the company's growth trajectory and will support expansion of both retail operations and product development initiatives.

Oben Electric operates as a vertically integrated manufacturer, producing electric motorcycles and components including batteries, motors, vehicle control units, and home fast chargers. The company operates a 100,000-units-per-year manufacturing facility in Jigani, Bengaluru, supported by a supply chain of over 150 vendors.

The company's current product lineup includes the Oben Rorr EZ, starting at ₹99,999, which features acceleration from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds, a top speed of 95 km/h, and a range of up to 175 km. The motorcycles use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery technology, which the company describes as a first in India's electric two-wheeler segment.

Founded in August 2020 and headquartered in Bengaluru, Oben Electric specializes in electric motorcycle design and manufacturing. The company holds over 25 patents for its technology and EV components. The founding team brings over 25 years of collective experience in electric vehicle research and development.

Looking ahead, Oben Electric plans to raise $30 million in Series B funding in 2025 to support international expansion and further scale production capacity. The company positions itself as an early entrant in India's electric motorcycle market, which operates within the world's largest motorcycle market overall.
