NDTH Energy Becomes Latest Indian Company to Secure Volvo VDS-3 Approval for Heavy-Duty Engine Oil
The lubricant manufacturer joins select group worldwide meeting Volvo's performance standards, marking another milestone for Indian automotive sector under Make in India initiative.
NDTH Energy, an Indian lubricant manufacturer, has received Volvo VDS-3 global approval for its EnerG G Force XL API CI-4 PLUS (15W-40) engine oil product. The certification places the company among a limited number of manufacturers worldwide whose lubricants meet Volvo's performance requirements for heavy-duty engines.
The Volvo VDS-3 approval confirms that the product meets international standards for extended oil drain intervals, reduced engine wear, and improved fuel efficiency in commercial vehicles. This certification strengthens the product's position in the global heavy-duty engine oil market.
NDTH Energy, established in 1970, previously became the first Indian lubricant manufacturer to secure Mercedes-Benz global certifications MB 229.51 and MB 229.52 for its fully synthetic EnerG G1 Xtreme PLUS 5W-30 engine oil. These approvals demonstrate the company's ability to meet demanding original equipment manufacturer specifications internationally.
"This achievement is a proud moment for NDTH Energy as an Indian-origin brand making its mark on the global stage," said Navkaran Singh Sethi, the company's founder.
"The Volvo VDS-3 approval underscores our commitment to engineering excellence, quality, and sustainability, while showcasing the capability of Indian manufacturers to meet the most rigorous international standards."
The company has also partnered with German additive specialist GAT GmbH to launch the GAT X EnerG product line in India. This range includes fuel system cleaners, engine flushes, and car care products designed to support the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative in the automobile sector.
NDTH Energy continues to invest in research and development, product innovation, and global collaborations to expand its presence in both domestic and international markets.
The company's strategy involves securing approvals from leading automotive manufacturers and building strategic technology partnerships to contribute to advancing mobility solutions and lubrication standards.
