MINI Enters West Bengal Market Through Partnership with OSL Prestige

MINI has entered the West Bengal market by appointing OSL Prestige as its dealer partner, marking the brand's entry into eastern India. The partnership was announced on August 19, 2025, with the inauguration of a new showroom facility in Kolkata.

OSL Prestige, which has been BMW India's dealer partner in the region, will now represent both BMW and MINI brands under the company's Retail.NEXT concept. The facility combines sales and service operations for both brands in a single location.

The new showroom spans 4,526 square feet and can display five vehicles. Located at Silver Arcade, 5 JBS Halden Avenue, EM Bypass, Kolkata, the facility includes dedicated areas for customer consultations, vehicle handovers, and electric vehicle charging.

Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the appointment strengthens the company's retail presence in the region. He stated that BMW Group India is "reimagining luxury automotive retail by placing the customer at the heart of a design forward, digitally innovative, and emotionally engaging brand experience."

Charchit Mishra, Dealer Principal at OSL Prestige, described the partnership as anchored in "a shared commitment to excellence." The dealership aims to serve customers across the region through the combined facility.

The showroom features multiple consultation areas positioned throughout the space, along with sales consultancy lounges for private discussions regarding financing and leasing options. A handover bay serves new car deliveries, pre-owned vehicle transactions, and test drive coordination.

BMW Group India, a subsidiary of the German automotive manufacturer, has been expanding its dealer network across India as part of its growth strategy in the luxury vehicle segment. MINI, owned by BMW Group, produces compact premium vehicles and has been seeking to expand its presence in emerging markets.

The facility also includes a merchandise and accessories zone, back-office space for administrative functions, and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. The dealership incorporates digital sales tools and maintains service capabilities for both BMW and MINI vehicles.
