JSW MG Motor India has reported strong sales performance for the MG Windsor in July 2025, with 4,308 units sold during the month — the highest monthly sales figure recorded for the model since its launch. The electric vehicle has now achieved nearly 36,000 cumulative sales since entering the Indian market.
The MG Windsor has led India’s four-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) segment for ten consecutive months. In the second quarter of 2025 (Q2 CY’25), the company’s market share in the EV segment rose to 32%, up from 28% in the previous quarter. This marks a 4 percentage point increase in market share, while average monthly sales of the Windsor grew by 17% compared to Q1. Additionally, the company reported a 28% increase in EV wholesale volumes from Q1 to Q2 2025.
Launched as India’s first intelligent compact utility vehicle (CUV), the MG Windsor has received over 30 awards since its debut, including the Green Car Award 2025 at the Indian Car of the Year (iCOTY) awards. The vehicle combines design elements from sedans and SUVs, offering a 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor with 200 Nm of torque.
The Windsor features a design language called ‘AeroGlide’, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen display branded as the GRANDVIEW Touch Display, and reclining rear seats that adjust up to 135 degrees, marketed as ‘Aero Lounge’ seating. It is available under a Battery as a Service (BaaS) model starting at ₹9.99 lakh, with an additional cost of ₹ 3.9 per kilometer for battery usage.
