Mahindra Logistics unveils 'Emission Analytics Report' for real-time carbon tracking
On India's 78th Independence Day, Mahindra Logistics launches a digital platform enabling businesses to monitor and reduce their supply chain carbon emissions, they said.
Mahindra Logistics has introduced the 'Emission Analytics Report' on India's 78th Independence Day. This digital platform, part of their green logistics ecosystem Edel, offers customers real-time visualization of their carbon emissions, focusing on transportation-related Scope 3 emissions.
The platform provides insights on emissions intensity, tonne-kilometres, emissions by transport mode, fuel usage, and access to emissions savings certificates through a monthly subscription model. It is accessible via a fully automated SaaS platform, accredited by the Global Logistics Emission Council (GLEC) and ISO 14083, and can be integrated into existing systems on both web and mobile devices.
Designed to assist companies in complying with BRSR and other environmental regulations. It offers shipment-level reporting of Scope 3 emissions for various industries, including automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, FMCG, mobility, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, quick commerce, and freight forwarding.
Rampraveen Swaminathan, Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics Ltd., stated that the launch of the 'Emission Analytics Report' is part of their commitment to contributing to India's goal of becoming Net-Zero by 2070 and building a sustainable logistics network.
Swayantani Ghosh, Chief Sustainability & CSR Officer at Mahindra Logistics Ltd., emphasized the importance of addressing climate change in India's growing economy. She highlighted that the Emission Analytics Report, powered by climate-focused AI, enables clients to track carbon footprints for their shipments in real-time, access emission savings analytics, and evaluate decarbonization modeling.
The Emission Analytics Report is an extension of Edel, which began as a green last-mile cargo delivery service and has evolved to include carbon-neutral warehousing solutions and a fleet of electric vehicles for last-mile delivery. This initiative represents Mahindra Logistics' effort to support businesses in transitioning towards greener logistics and more sustainable supply chain practices.
