Mahindra Logistics Opens New Warehousing Facility in Phaltan for Cummins India

Mahindra Logistics Limited announced the opening of its new warehousing facility in Phaltan, Maharashtra, on June 11, 2025. The facility spans over 300,000 square feet and will serve as a dedicated distribution center for Cummins India, a power solutions provider.

The warehouse is designed to consolidate products from multiple sources into one central location, helping Cummins India optimize its nationwide operations. The facility will handle inbound and outbound logistics operations, warehouse management, and last-mile dispatch services for the client.

Phaltan's location near Pune provides direct access to major highways and industrial zones, making it a strategic choice for logistics operations. The region has emerged as a manufacturing and logistics hub in recent years, supporting India's industrial growth.

The facility incorporates renewable energy systems, including solar panels and water treatment systems, aligning with Cummins India's sustainability standards. Mahindra Logistics expects the warehouse to create over 500 employment opportunities for local communities.

Hemant Sikka, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mahindra Logistics Limited, stated that the facility represents part of the company's commitment to building infrastructure that supports India's economic growth. He noted that logistics plays a role in enabling supply chain efficiency as India continues its industrial development.

Mahindra Logistics Limited operates as a third-party logistics service provider, serving over 400 corporate customers across industries including automobile, engineering, consumer goods, and e-commerce. The company follows an asset-light business model, providing supply chain management and enterprise mobility services.
