Mahindra Launches First Dealership-Based 180 kW Ultrafast EV Charger in Anantapur
Automaker expands Charge_IN network with dealership installations, complementing 250 highway stations already announced nationwide.
Mahindra today inaugurated its first dealership-based ultrafast electric vehicle charging station, marking a significant expansion of its nationwide EV infrastructure. The 180 kW Charge_IN station is now operational at MGB Mobiles in Anantapur on NH-44.
The installation represents the beginning of a broader rollout across Mahindra dealerships nationwide, forming a central component of the company's strategy to establish what it describes as India's most reliable ultrafast charging network.
The initiative substantially expands Mahindra's Charge_IN ecosystem, which already includes 250 highway fast-charging stations previously announced by the automaker. The new dealership-based ultrafast chargers are designed to provide EV users with rapid charging capabilities at strategically positioned locations throughout the country.
According to the company, the stations will offer round-the-clock on-ground support, addressing one of the key concerns for electric vehicle adoption—charging accessibility and reliability.
The 180 kW charging capacity enables significantly faster charging times compared to standard charging infrastructure, potentially reducing charging duration for compatible vehicles. The dealership-based model leverages Mahindra's existing retail network to create convenient charging points for both customers and general EV users.
Mahindra has not disclosed the total number of dealership locations planned for similar installations or the timeline for the nationwide rollout.
