Kinetic Engineering Invests ₹5 Crore in Subsidiary Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd

Kinetic Engineering Limited has increased its stake in subsidiary Kinetic Watts and Volts Limited through a ₹5 crore equity investment, aiming to support its business activities within the automobile sector.

Kinetic Engineering Invests ₹5 Crore in Subsidiary Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd

Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) has announced an investment of ₹5 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kinetic Watts and Volts Limited (KWVL), further strengthening its position in the automobile sector.

According to the company’s regulatory filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the investment involved the subscription of 50,00,000 equity shares at ₹10 each in KWVL on April 9, 2025. With this move, Kinetic Engineering’s stake in the subsidiary has increased from 61.63% to 66.11%.

KWVL was incorporated on September 27, 2022, under the Companies Act, 2013. Although it currently reports no turnover, the entity is positioned within the automobile industry and is expected to contribute to KEL’s strategic growth in the sector. The company clarified that the transaction qualifies as a related party transaction but was carried out at arm’s length.

The total authorized capital of KWVL stands at ₹50 crore, with a paid-up capital of ₹42.83 crore. The investment was made in cash and does not require any governmental or regulatory approvals. KEL has stated that this step aligns with its core business objectives and supports future initiatives within the automotive domain.

Founded in 1970, the company has evolved from manufacturing mopeds and two-wheelers to supplying automotive components and assemblies. Its product range includes transmission systems, engine components, and other critical assemblies for automotive applications. The company has a manufacturing facility located in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. KEL is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and continues to explore opportunities through strategic investments and partnerships within the mobility and engineering domains.

Kinetic Watts and Volts Limited (KWVL) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kinetic Engineering Limited, incorporated on September 27, 2022, under the Companies Act, 2013. Headquartered in India, KWVL operates within the automobile sector, with an aim to explore and develop opportunities in mobility technologies. As of now, the company has not reported any revenue, indicating that it is in its early stages of development.
