Hyundai India posts record February sales, up 12.6% YoY

Carrying forward the strong momentum of January, Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) said on Sunday it recorded its highest-ever sales for the month of February, with total volumes rising 12.6% year-on-year to 66,134 units.

Domestic sales rose 9.8% to 52,407 units, marking the company’s strongest February performance in India since inception. Exports grew at a faster pace, climbing 24.8% to 13,727 units during the month.

The automaker said the February performance builds on momentum from January, when it had also posted its highest-ever monthly sales, signalling sustained demand across both domestic and overseas markets.

“We kicked off 2026 on a high note … and the momentum continues in February,” Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of HMIL, said, adding that the company remains focused on expanding access to connected technologies and enhancing the ownership experience as it approaches 30 years of operations in India.

Hyundai’s February performance reflects steady domestic growth and stronger export traction amid a competitive passenger vehicle market.
