Hero MotoCorp Posts 44% Dispatches Growth in February 2026
The two-wheeler maker reported its largest year-on-year February dispatch jump on record, driven by scooter demand, a resurgent EV unit, and double-digit international growth.
Hero MotoCorp dispatched 558,216 units in February 2026, up 44% from 388,068 units in the same month a year earlier. VAHAN registration data (excluding Telangana), which captures retail-level demand, showed 458,346 registrations for the month, an 18% increase year-on-year.
The scooter segment continued to gain ground, with models including the Xoom and Destini attracting buyer interest. The 100cc–125cc motorcycle segment also contributed to overall dispatch volumes. The company dispatched 499,756 motorcycles and 58,460 scooters in February 2026, compared to 352,312 motorcycles and 35,756 scooters in February 2025.
VIDA, Hero MotoCorp's electric mobility unit, recorded 12,514 VAHAN registrations in February 2026. The company said VIDA's market share grew three-fold compared to February 2025, reflecting increased uptake across its key markets.
The company's global business dispatched 41,248 units in February 2026, up ~34% from 30,772 units in the year-ago period. Hero MotoCorp attributed the growth to demand for its premium portfolio across international markets.
Hero MotoCorp received two industry recognitions during the month. At the BBC TopGear India Awards 2026, the company was named Two-Wheeler Manufacturer of the Year, with the Glamour X 125 winning Entry Level Bike of the Year and the Xtreme 250R taking Entry Level Performance Bike of the Year. At the Auto Excellence Awards 2026 by CarBike360, the company again won Two-Wheeler Manufacturer of the Year; the Glamour X 125 was named Bike of the Year and VIDA was recognized as Two-Wheeler EV Brand of the Year.
