Honda opens new BigWing showroom in Pune
HMSI inaugurates state-of-the-art BigWing outlet, offering diverse premium lineup and digital experiences to cater to growing demand for high-end motorcycles in India.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has expanded its premium motorcycle retail network by opening a new Honda BigWing outlet in Pune, Maharashtra on August 2, 2024. This dealership aims to provide an enhanced experience for motorcycle enthusiasts and potential customers.
The new facility, designed with a black and white monochromatic theme, is part of HMSI's strategy to increase its presence across India, with over 140 operational BigWing touchpoints now available. The outlet offers a range of services including sales, after-sales support, and accessories.
HMSI has implemented digital initiatives to complement the physical store experience. These include a dedicated website for information and online bookings, as well as a virtual showroom platform allowing customers to explore the motorcycle lineup remotely.
The BigWing format is divided into two categories: BigWing Topline for the entire premium range (300cc - 1800cc) in major cities, and BigWing for the mid-size segment (200cc - 500cc) in other locations. The product portfolio includes various models such as the CB350, CB300F, NX500, Africa Twin, and Gold Wing Tour, among others.
HMSI recently introduced the NX500 adventure tourer to the Indian market at a price of Rs. 5,90,000 (ex-showroom). This model, imported as a Completely Built-Up unit, features a 471cc liquid-cooled engine producing 35kW of power and 43Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The expansion of the BigWing network and the introduction of new models reflect HMSI's efforts to strengthen its position in the premium motorcycle segment in India.
